baked and eaten's passion and commitment is simple - to take the humble

and uncomplicated desserts and make it from real ingredients - real ingredients that

turn the simplest of desserts taste divine.

So we use real butter (fresh creamy french butter that gives a wonderful mouth feel),

real chocolate (the kind that contains cocoa butter and not vegetable fats) ,

unbleached flour, sugar and fresh eggs.

We also avoid ingredients that contains any form of hydrogenated oil as they are a

source of trans fats, and we believe in being a responsible bakery to our customers.

Yes, we are deeply passionate about our baking and you can be assured that

we give you only the best we can offer.

All our baked goods are lovingly handmade in small batches and from scratch,

and we hope you enjoy your brownies and cupcakes as much as we

enjoyed baking them!

Our central kitchen has a minimum order of a box / 8 pcs. If you would like to try a single pc, you can head down to our partner cafe - Brew 1819 located at Temasek Tower, 8 Shenton Way, #B1-11, Singapore 068811.Collection Self-collection is at our baking studio at: 778A North Bridge Road. Delivery is available at an extra charge of $14 [Mon - Sun, 10am to 7pm] $16 [Eve / Public Holidys, 10am to 3pm]additional $5 for Sentosa / MBS location.free delivery for orders above $300.PaymentUsually cash upon self collection. ordering1 when should i place my order?to avoid dissappointment - it is preferred that you provide us about 3 days notice. for large or corporate orders, a 2 week notice is required. or simply call to check if we are available, and we will do our best to accomodate your request.

ordering2 what is the minimum quantity of brownies / cupcakes?the minimum quantity of brownies is 8 pcs of the same flavor - i.e. a box of brownies or 8 nibbles. for our cupcakes, a minimum order of 12 pcs for our vanilla and passionfruit, and 15 pcs for our chocolate cupcake. our brownies and cupcakes are baked by the batch and only upon customers order. as such, we do not sell single pieces. at our kitchen.

ordering3 can i try just a single slice of brownie without the minimum order?We understand that some of our customers would prefer to first try a single piece of our brownies. We have partnered with a cafe - Brew 1819 and they carry our single slices. They are conveniently located at Temasek Tower, 8 Shenton Way #B1-11, Singapore 068811. A quick 5 mins fully sheltered way from Tanjong Pagar MRT.:)

ordering4 do you do customized orders / fondant work?we do simple customization - icing sheet for your cupcakes, and from time to time, simple fondant alphabets (see link). However we do not offer intricate design fondant work as it is not our strength as we do not want to dissapoint our customers. if you are unsure, simply email us at contact_bakedandeaten.com or call us at 9781 4169 to let us know your requirement, and we will advise accordingly.

ordering5 is your bakery halal?our bakery is not halal certified. for customers who have been with us since we first started, we used to be certified when we were previously operating under the community kitchen. we still use the same ingredients for our brownies as when we were certified and the brownies do not contain alcohol nor gelatine. for our cupcakes, most of our cupcakes do not contain alcohol and gelatine. If gelatine is used, it is halal. However our frostings may contain some alcohol as we use the higher premium grade vanilla extract - as alcohol is needed to extract and retain the rich vanilla flavor.If you are concerned, give us a call, and we will make sure that that we do not recommend anything that potentially contain alcohol or non-halal gelatine. Please note however, we are not in anyway halal certified - as it would require our premises and equipment to be totally free of alcohol (amongst other requirements). What we can do for customers is to highlight to you what may be something more acceptable. If the halal certification is important to your guests, it is best to approach bakeries that are certified.

brownies1 which brownie is for me?b&e brownies are rich, dense and fudgy. base on customers feedback, each has their different favourites! some love the dark chocolate & cranberry, some the triple chocolate walnut, yet others adore the swirled cheese - it’s all a matter of personal preference.The die hard chocolate lovers usually prefer the dark chocolate cranberry or the triple chocolate walnut.

brownies2 what's the best way to serve baked and eaten's brownies?b&e brownies are best served naturally warmed to room temperature (or slightly cold), about 10 mins after it is taken out of the fridge. allowing it to naturally warm to room temperature allows the chocolate to be soft enough for it to be melty in your mouth - yet retain its texture. we do not recommend heating it like other usual brownies - reason is that our brownies are made from loads of chocolate and butter, and pretty much act like a chocolate bar when it's too warm (i.e. too soft under too much heat). of course, there are some of us that like our brownies cold – especially those who love dense brownies or simply can’t wait for them to thaw! brownies still taste good, just harder and denser.

brownies3 how do i store my brownies?please always keep your brownies refrigerated. refrigerated brownies can keep for 1 to 2 weeks. our brownies freeze well, and if you intent to keep them for a longer period, we recommend that you individually wrap them in foil before store them in the freezer. in the freezer, they keep for a month.

brownies4 ♥what is the size of your brownies?our brownies are about 4.8 by 4.8 cm. despite its size, our brownies delivers a good punch of chocolate, as we only fill with them with premium ingredients -– in particular our butter and chocolate. b&e believes that good things are best savored in measured quantities, and any bigger, our customers might just have a chocolate overdose (yes, it is indeed possible!;)).after trying our brownies, you will realize that despite its size, our brownies delivers on that chocolate punch!

brownies5 why doesn’t your brownies have that crackly top layer?the crispy crust top layer is due to caramelization of sugar . brownies are mainly about the chocolate and we intentionally use less sugar in our brownies - to allow the chocolate to showcase its quality. while we are not able to achieve that crackly top, but believe the quality of the chocolate that you are better able to taste will make up for it. :)

cupcakes1 what's the best way to serve your cupcakes?our cupcakes are best served at room temperature. we bake all our cupcakes with butter as nothing can beat its wonderful flavor!as butter is hard when it is cold, do let rest for 10 - 15 mins at to room temperature - the wait will be worth it!!:) or if you are impatient, give it a quick 15 seconds zap in the microwave!

cupcakes2 ♥how do i store my cupcakes?we recommend that the cupcakes are eaten on the same day - as it is the freshest. in the event you need to store them for a day or two, please keep them refrigerated in an air tight container - to prevent the cupcakes from drying. if you can, it keeps better in the freezer. surprising huh? but it's true - as the freezer keeps the moisture locked in the cupcake. let the cupcakes naturally warm to room temperature when you want to serve them.

OUR STORY

baked and eaten is founded by charmaine, who after several years in the corporate world, took the plunge to start her own bakery. it was a coffee conversation with a friend about dreams which brought back childhood memories of how much she enjoyed playing 'restaurant' with her childhood friends. armed with her passion for baking which is perfectly suited for her nit-picky, slightly compulsive and perfectionist nature, she realized that she could offer customers simple desserts, but ones made from great ingredients that transforms the simplest of desserts to something divine!she saw it as a sign to pursue her dream when she stumbled upon a community kitchen to operate from, and from there, her journey started! she now operates from her own dedicated baking studio, and it gives her immense satisfaction and pride when customers tell her how much they enjoyed the brownies and cupcakes! it is this satisfaction and support of her customers and friends and family that keeps her going!
